As I’ve mentioned before, I work in the R&D department of JobServe; and over the past month we’ve been hard at work on the next update to our hugely successful iPhone application – JobServe Connect – Job Search.
v1.0, we feel, was the best of the Job Search iPhone apps that were available during it’s lifetime (of course I would say that!); however there was always one thing in particular that we wanted to bring to it – and that was the ability to apply for a job directly without having to leave the application.
We received a lot of feedback to this effect as well. In addition to this, our users asked for the ability to run their saved searches, to be able to include salary criteria and to be able to refine searches.
Well, v2.0 is now officially here, it does all of these things plus a bit more, and we are now the very first job board to provide an iPhone app that has an integrated job applications process – you never have to leave the app.
You just need to registered with us (requiring just an email address and password) and have a CV registered on your account. You sign in directly within the application, and that’s it.
If you’re new to JobServe, you can register with us by simply providing an email address and password. Then, to get you up and running for making job applications, you just need to email us a CV (there’s no real easy way to compose a CV from the iPhone!) and away you go.
I urge everyone to download it now and get moving. We had our first direct job application within two hours of release, and already the number of searches being run is looking to exceed those from our previous version.
If you’re using the app and like it, don’t forget to leave feedback on the iTunes store.
And now you can provide feedback directly to us, about this or any JobServe offering, through our new general purpose feedback site – JobServe Your Voice – through which you can tell us about anything that you like, or indeed dislike, about JobServe.
