Three months go I started paying for web hosting of the asp.net variety - I've hankered after a web presence for some time now, but don't want to go the whole facebook/myspace/yourspace/joebloggsspace route because... well, I just don't wanna!

(I'll probably end up setting up accounts on those just to direct some traffic this way!)

Anyway, the other night I decided enough was enough - I'm a bloody software developer for christ's sake I should be able to sort out my own bloody website!  So in the end I decided that the best way to start was with - surprise surprise - a bloody blog.

Found this marvellous thing called BlogEngine.Net and decided to give it a whirl.  To be honest - I've done practically bugger to get this thing up and running - the only work I've really had to do was at the hosting end - setting up my application etc on the web server.

So this is the first of, hopefully, billions of blog entries - and I also plan to bring forth much more 'content' to the wider world...

For now, though, I'm just going to concentrate on drinking a beer that I've just poured for myself.
